The Thai Basil drink is a combination of lovely herbs, citrus and a subtle sweetness that makes it a perfect refreshment for hot summer days or when you want to give yourself an exotic treat. The fresh taste of basil, the tangy lime juice and the smooth sweetness of the syrup create a harmony that is hard to resist with its delicious coconut foam on top
Ingredients
- 5 cl of gin
- 3 cl lemon juice
- 2 cl syrup with basil flavor
Sugar layer with basil flavor
- 1 dl caster sugar
- 1 dl water
- 8 Thai basil leaves
Coconut foam
- 100g caster sugar
- 5 dl coconut milk
Do this
1. Mix sugar syrup with Thai basil. Strain off
2. Bring coconut milk and granulated sugar to a boil over medium heat. Leave to cool in the refrigerator
3. Fill a siphon with the coconut milk, use 1 cartridge and put in the fridge for about 30 minutes
4. Shake gin, lemon juice and syrup cold with ice. Strain over a large ice cube into a low glass and top with coconut foam from the siphon.
5. Garnish with a basil leaf.
