This restaurang is a grill buffet. In summer it is open on Öland and during winter it is open in Sälen. The lamb and pig was opened on Öland in 1969 by the brothers Jan and Bengt Richert. Jan had lived 9 years in Mallorca where he had helped start the first barbecue parties.
The concept is simple buffet eat until you burst. The restaurant had been divided into different stations. First you paid for the food, after that you went to the bar and ordered drinks. Perfect, all paid for, just leave when you’re done. When all that was ready, you went and took off the cold things like salads, sauces and different flavored butter that you wanted to eat with the meat.

When you had left this plate at your table, it was time for what was most interesting, all the different meat details that you could choose from. There, the chefs sliced the meat while you watched and picked out the details.

There you could choose between Lamb Fillet, Roasted Lamb, Roast Lamb, Beef Fillet, Pork Fillet, Spare Ribs, Thick Ribs, Chicharrones etc.
