This is a chicken stew from Pakistan, My wife and I like Middle Eastern food a lot and eat food from this area often,
Ingredients
- 500g chicken fillet
- 500g fresh tomatoes
- 1 red onion
- 2 tbsp fresh ginger
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 2 red chilies
- 1.5 tsp garam masala (you can find the recipe HERE) if you don’t want to buy ready-made
- 1.5 tsp chili powder or paprika powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 0.5 tsp turmeric
- 3 tbsp coarsely chopped coriander
- salt & pepper
Do this
1. Cut the chicken fillets into pieces. Dice the onion, finely chop the garlic, grate the ginger, mince the chili, dice the tomatoes
2, Heat oil and fry the onion until it has turned colour. Add chilli, ginger and garlic. After you fry for a while, add the chicken and fry it until it turns white. Add all the remaining spices and fry for a little while more.
3. Add the tomatoes, stir and then let the pot simmer with the lid on for 25 minutes.
4. Add the coarsely chopped coriander and serve the stew with rice.
