I really like this Swedish classic. It’s a shame that you don’t cook this dish a little more often than you do. It’s going to be big on the weekends when there’s streaming on the buffet table.
Ingredients
- 600g streaming file
- 1 dl flour
- 2 eggs beaten
- 3 dl breadcrumbs
- salt
- pepper
- dill
- butter to fry in
Do this
1 Start by cutting off the dorsal fin of each file.
2 Take out three plates and start putting in one of the plates the flour that you season with salt and white pepper, in the other plate you beat the eggs in. I can think that it will be good to have 1 tablespoon of Skånk’s mustard in the egg mixture, In the you have the third plate in the breadcrumbs.
3 Add enough dill to half of the fillets and then add a reasonably large fillet on top of this.
4 Start to put a fish in the flour and then the egg and finally the breadcrumbs. Put them on a plate and fry with the rest of the double filets.

5 Fry them in butter on medium heat for about 10 minutes. Make sure they don’t burn or turn black.
There is nothing better than taking a ready-made fried trout and eating it straight from the pan.
Serve mashed potatoes with the stream, it goes very well.
