Ingredients 8 servings
- 2 yellow onions
- 900g minced meat
- 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- pepper
- 2 – 3 wild cucumbers, cut into sticks
- soy sauce to taste
- 1 small red chili, chopped, to taste
Do this
1. Chop 1 yellow onion and slice the other. Put minced meat, chopped onion, garlic and soy sauce in a bowl, pepper liberally and mix well.
2. Grease an oblong baking dish that holds 1.5 litres, press down the minced meat mixture and cover the whole thing with onion slices.
3. Set the mold in a rectangular shape, pour in boiling water up to half the height of the mold, put in the oven and bake for 1 hour.
4. Serve the meatloaf warm, lukewarm or cold together with cucumber sticks, jasmine rice and small bowls of soy sauce and chopped chilli to taste.
